Increased traffic expected on U.S. 20 in Elmore County July 31-Aug. 2 for music festival

BOISE—Motorists should anticipate higher than usual traffic volumes on U.S. 20 in Elmore County July 30-Aug. 2, for the Mountain Home Country Music Festival.

Drivers should plan for heavy traffic at the Interstate 84 Eastbound Exit 95 off-ramp to the junction of U.S. 20, continuing east on U.S. 20 to the intersection of Pine-Featherville Road during the four-day event. Flaggers and delays can be expected at the intersections of U.S. 20 and Pine-Featherville Road and High Prairie Road (mileposts 127-131) each day between 8 a.m. and 1 a.m.

Personnel from the Idaho Transportation Department and Idaho State Police will be monitoring conditions on the roadway. Advanced signage and message boards are already in place on U.S. 20 reminding drivers of the expected heavy traffic volumes.

ITD reminds drivers to slow down, pay attention and give yourself extra time.
