Detour through Aug. 15 for Lewiston Hill project

LEWISTON - A detour for all U.S. 95 traffic is included in the next phase of the ongoing Lewiston Hill reconstruction project, as crews work at the top of the hill using a resurfacing method called CRABS (Cement Recycled Asphalt Base Stabilization).

Through August 15, the detour will be used intermittently. Specifics are as follows:

Northbound - The ramp taking traffic from U.S. 95 to U.S. 195 will be closed at milepost 318.7, and the traffic wanting to go north to Spokane will be routed to the left turn lane accessing Old Highway 95 at milepost 319.6.  Old highway 95 also will take people to U.S. 195.

Southbound - Traffic traveling to Lewiston from Spokane will be routed to Old Highway 95, which will take them to U.S. 95, where they can proceed either north- or southbound.

Knife River Corp., Boise, is the prime contractor on this $11.5 million project.
