Daytime flagging, lane restrictions, noise on Idaho 55 at North Fork Payette River Bridge Aug. 6 and 7
CASCADE – Crews will move and drive piles as part of building the foundation for the new North Fork Payette River Bridge Thursday and Friday (Aug. 6 and 7), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. This work will be very noisy.

Idaho 55 over the North Fork Payette River Bridge (just north of Cascade) will be intermittently reduced to one lane during pile-driving activities. Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions. Lane restrictions will only be in place while crews are moving or driving the piles. Two lanes will remain open over the bridge at all other times.

On Thursday, work will begin at 7 a.m. and be complete by 7 p.m. On Friday, work will begin at 7 a.m. and be complete by noon.

ITD encourages drivers who are traveling between Boise and Cascade on Thursday and Friday to plan extra time and prepare for delays.

Construction of the new Idaho 55 North Fork Payette River Bridge is expected to be complete late this year.

ITD is replacing the bridge to meet today’s safety standards and traffic loads.
