Summer-long project to maintain ten Treasure Valley bridges on I-184 and I-84 wrapped up last night
BOISE – Last night (Aug. 4), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) completed maintenance work at several bridges throughout the Treasure Valley. This work was the final step of a project that began earlier this year to repair and resurface ten bridges on the I-184 Connector and Interstate 84.
“Crews completed the Ada County bridge-maintenance project a month ahead of schedule,” said Daris Bruce, ITD resident engineer. “The maintenance of these bridges will prolong their life by 20 years.”
ITD patched concrete, resurfaced and waterproofed the bridge decks, repainted steel rails and completed other routine maintenance.
