CLARIFICATION: Idaho 33 to be closed briefly Tuesday for INL waste shipment

RIGBY - The Idaho National Laboratory will close a five-mile stretch of Idaho 33 near Mud Lake for one hour Tuesday (July 18), to complete the transfer of hazardous waste tanks from Test Area North to Gate 4 on the INL site, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The one-hour closure will occur sometime between 10 a.m. and noon from the junction of Idaho 28 near Mud Lake to the junction of Idaho 22 near Howe. A detour route will be available that will take 12 to 15 minutes.
The closure will accommodate the movement of hazardous materials that began Thursday.
