Intersection at Karcher and Middleton in Nampa to close Aug. 7 overnight
BOISE—The intersection of Idaho 55 (Karcher Road) and Middleton Road in Nampa will be closed overnight Aug. 7 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for road-paving activities. Traffic will be diverted onto the reconstructed road beginning at 7 a.m.
-Eastbound Karcher Road traffic will be diverted north onto Midway Road to Homedale Road to Caldwell Boulevard. Northbound Middleton Road traffic will be detoured west onto Dale Lane to Midway Road to Homedale Road to Caldwell Boulevard.
-Westbound Karcher will be diverted onto Caldwell Boulevard to Homedale Road to Midway Road and back to Karcher Road. Flaggers will assist drivers at the corners of Homedale Road and Midway Road and at Midway Road and Karcher Road.
Signage will provide detour information for local residents in the project area. Drivers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to leave early and slow down.
ITD and the city of Nampa have partnered to rebuild the intersection to improve safety and reduce congestion through the area. Approximately 30,000 vehicles use the intersection daily.
Construction is anticipated to conclude in fall 2015.
