Installation of new signal to cause lane closures at Seltice and Greensferry week of Aug. 19
COEUR D'ALENE - Crews will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Seltice Way and Greensferry Road the week of Aug. 19. The work will cause single-lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions along Seltice during the work. There are no lane c1osures anticipated for Interstate 90.
This week, the contractor is continuing to work on the retaining walls and backfill for the ramp north of I-90. FIowable fill (a light-strength concrete mixture) will be placed under the north bridge abutment to fill in the compact area between the retaining wall and bridge structure. The contractor also continues to backfill the southern ramp and pour the parapet walls on the outside of the structure.
The work is part of the ongoing Greensferry Overpass project. The city of Post Falls is spearheading this $15-million project. Project details are available on the Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency website, at www.pfura.com/documents/greensferry-overpass-project
