I-84 on- and off-ramps at Broadway Ave. and Gowen Rd. will be intermittently closed/restricted for seal coat work (Aug. 20-25)
BOISE – Tomorrow through Tuesday (Aug. 20-25), intermittent daytime ramp closures and restrictions will be in place at the Interstate 84 Broadway and Gowen interchanges. The closures and restrictions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as crews apply a protective asphalt surface, or seal coat, to the ramps of these two newly rebuilt interchanges.
On Thursday (Aug. 20), the I-84 westbound off-ramps will be intermittently closed at the Broadway and Gowen interchanges. The I-84 eastbound on-ramps will be intermittently closed at both interchanges on Friday (Aug. 21). This work is weather dependent.
Lanes will be intermittently restricted at the Broadway and Gowen I-84 on- and off-ramps through late next week. Click here for a map of when each I-84 ramp will be closed or restricted.
As the seal coat is being applied, drivers will travel across loose gravel on the I-84 ramps at Broadway Avenue and Gowen Road. Once the seal coat has been applied, the ramps and I-84 mainline will be striped. Traffic on I-84 between Broadway and Eisenman will be shifted several times during this work.
An advisory speed limit of 25 mph will be in effect on the ramps at both interchanges.
