Intermittent closures, flagging, and lane restrictions on Idaho 55 at the North Fork Payette River Bridge begin Monday
CASCADE – Early next week crews will place support beams on the North Fork Payette River Bridge, just north of Cascade.
Monday through Wednesday (Aug. 24-26), traffic will be intermittently stopped in both directions for 20 to 45 minutes.
Crews will work during the daytime from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to set up cranes, install support beams for the bridge and take down cranes.
The bridge will be restricted to one lane, once the support beams are set, and flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 25 mph.
Construction is expected to be complete late this year. ITD is replacing the bridge to meet today’s traffic loads and safety standards.
