Construction on I-84 in east Boise nears completion as Broadway Avenue Interchange is striped Thursday night
BOISE – The newly constructed Interstate 84 Broadway Avenue Interchange will be in its final configuration by Friday morning (Sept. 11).
Lanes will be restricted on Broadway Avenue at I-84 on Thursday (Sept. 10) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews stripe the interchange. During this work, the central signal at the interchange will be turned off, and flaggers will control traffic.

Lane restrictions will continue on Broadway Avenue at I-84 while crews finish building center medians.
This work is part of the final phase of the I-84, Broadway Interchange replacement project.
The new Broadway Interchange is designed to move high traffic volumes within a small area. It will be a single-point urban interchange, or SPUI, design – the third of its kind in Idaho, following on the heels of the Vista Avenue and Ten Mile interchanges that were built several years ago.
ITD encourages drivers to pay extra attention when driving through the new interchange. An educational fact sheet and video about how to navigate a SPUI are available at www.itd.idaho.gov/BroadwayInterchange.
