Lanes will be restricted at night on Interstate 84, from Meridian to Five Mile, through this fall

BOISE– Overnight lane restrictions will be in place on Interstate 84 between Meridian and Five Mile roads through this fall. The restrictions will allow crews to grind concrete on the inside lanes of the interstate. This work is part of the final phase of rehabilitating I-84 between the Five Mile overpass and Meridian Road Interchange.

The grinding work will be done at night, so lanes can be kept open on I-84 during the day. This work is very noisy.

Drivers can expect overnight lane restrictions and speed-limit reductions from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. during the week, and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekends.

The improvements are part of ITD’s project to rebuild the Meridian Interchange and improve I-84 in the west Treasure Valley. Construction is expected to be complete late this year.
