Gowen Road will be restricted to one lane Friday night (Sept. 25) for final striping
BOISE – On Friday night (Sept. 25), lanes will be restricted on Gowen Road at Interstate 84 starting at 6 p.m. Crews will be working overnight to stripe this section of Gowen Road into its final configuration.
At 8 p.m., Gowen Road will be reduced to one lane from Federal Way to Eisenman Road. Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions. The lane restrictions will be in place until 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Drivers should plan for delays or consider using an alternating route during this work.
Crews have been working for more than one year to rebuild Gowen Road at I-84. Improvements include widening Gowen Road to five lanes and reconfiguring the intersection of Federal Way and Gowen Road to enhance the flow of traffic.
Striping Gowen Road is part of the final phase of construction for this project. Drivers can expect to see shoulder restrictions on Gowen Road for the next several weeks as crews complete final tasks, such as landscaping and installing fencing.
