Mayfield Bridge east of Boise hit by semi-truck, safety inspectors on scene now
BOISE—The Mayfield Bridge, east of Boise at milepost 71 (Stage Stop), is closed after a semi-truck hit one of the bridge columns shortly before 7 a.m. Monday. Eastbound I-84 is reduced to one lane at this time in the immediate area.
Idaho Transportation Department’s bridge inspection team and other ITD personnel are onsite gathering information on the extent of damage to the structure. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive with caution in the area.
