Turnbay construction near Hauser Lake starts today
COEUR D'ALENE - To improve safety, crews will construct a turnbay and widen the road near Hauser Lake at the junction of Idaho 53 and Pleasantview Road beginning today (Monday, Sept. 28). Idaho 53 will be expanded to allow for an eastbound right-hand turnbay and a westbound left-hand turnbay onto Pleasantview Road.
Most of the project will not involve restricting traffic on Idaho 53, but periodic closures may need to occur to facilitate the construction.
The speed limit on Pleasantview Road will be reduced to 35 mph approximately 100 feet south of the BNSF railroad track.
Knife River Inc., of Rathdrum, is the contractor on this $265,000 project.
