Interstate 84 ramps will be closed overnight at Cole and Overland roads through mid-October

BOISE – On- and off-ramps at the Interstate 84 Cole/Overland Interchange will be closed intermittently at night from Monday (Oct. 5) through next Thursday (Oct. 15). The closures will allow crews to mill the existing pavement and repave the ramps.

On nights that crews are working, the ramps will close at 10 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. the following day. It is anticipated that no more than two ramps will be closed in one night.

Click here for a map that shows when each ramp will be closed. Detour routes will be clearly marked.

The schedule for this work is weather dependent.

ITD is also updating pedestrian facilities at the Cole/Overland interchange to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. This work may require intermittent lane restrictions on Cole and Overland roads from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

These improvements are part of ITD’s project to repave ramps at five interchanges in southwest Idaho.

Maintaining the ramps will extend the life of the roadway surface. Upcoming work locations will be announced via email and on 511.idaho.gov.

ITD asks drivers to plan ahead, pay attention and slow down in work zones, and be aware of the safety of construction crews.
