Lanes will be restricted on Gowen Road at Interstate 84 Wednesday night (Oct. 21)
BOISE – Gowen Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Federal Way and Eisenman Road Wednesday night (Oct. 21). Crews will work overnight to place a second coat of striping on this newly rebuilt section of Gowen Road.
Lane restrictions will be in place on Gowen Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Flaggers will direct traffic during this work.
Lane restrictions on Gowen Road may continue Thursday night (Oct. 22) if crews do not complete striping on Wednesday.
The schedule for this work is dependent upon weather and will be adjusted if conditions are inclement.
Rebuilding Gowen Road is the final phase of ITD’s project to replace the I-84 Gowen Interchange. Improvements have included widening Gowen Road to five lanes, building new on- and off-ramps, improving turn lanes on Gowen Road, Federal Way, and Eisenman Road and replacing the bridges over I-84.
The new I-84 Gowen Interchange, also now complete, is designed to accommodate current and future traffic volumes.
