Repairs to Mayfield Bridge over I-84, east of Boise begin Monday
BOISE—Work to repair a damaged bridge column on the Mayfield Bridge on Interstate 84, east of Boise, will begin Monday (Nov. 30).
Eastbound I-84 will be reduced to one lane near milepost 71 (Stage Stop) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, so crews may safely repair the column that was damaged after a rental truck hit it in late September.
Advanced signage will alert motorists to the lane reduction while work is being completed over the next several weeks.
ITD bridge inspectors previously determined the Mayfield Bridge structure safe, with a lane restriction and temporary signal placed on the overpass. Those restrictions will be lifted when repairs are complete.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention when traveling near the work zone.
