Utility work will briefly close stretch of I-90 Christmas morning
COEUR D'ALENE - Avista Utilities will re-install a power cable across both lanes of Interstate 90 Christmas morning (Dec. 25), completely closing the freeway both east- and westbound at milepost 34.1 for 45-60 minutes, starting at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
This will restore power to the Rose Lake/Cedars Area, which has been without power since about noon yesterday when a falling tree snapped the cable.
No detour route will be posted.
