Westbound Juniper Rest Area partially closed for several weeks due to vandalism this morning
SHOSHONE – The men’s facilities at the westbound Juniper Rest Area, located on Interstate 84 near the Utah border, are temporarily closed due to extensive vandalism. Initial estimates of the damage and repair costs exceed $10,000.
Sometime early this morning (Thursday, Feb. 4), several toilets, urinals, sinks and mirrors were destroyed or broken beyond repair. The damage was discovered when janitorial staff arrived for the morning cleaning duties.

The men’s facilities will be closed for a few weeks while repairs are made. Work will begin immediately. The women’s and handicap/family facilities were not damaged. Men are allowed to use the family-use restrooms.
