Indiana Avenue at Karcher Road will open Friday (April 1) as irrigation work wraps up
CALDWELL – Indiana Avenue at Karcher Road will open on Friday (April 1) after a two-week closure. Since mid-March, Indiana Avenue has been closed while crews worked on irrigation and utilities near the intersection at Karcher Road (Idaho 55).
Construction at the intersection of Karcher Road and Indiana Avenue will resume in June. Through the summer, crews will widen the intersection, install a signal and make other roadway improvements. Knife River Corporation is the contractor.
Improving the Karcher/Indiana intersection is one of many projects scheduled for the Idaho 55 corridor through 2017. Plans for the near future include widening and installing signals at Lake Avenue and Midway Road, and repaving from Middleton Road to Pride Lane. At Farmway Road, a signal will be installed and safety improvements will be made to the intersection.
