U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow breakfast meeting Tuesday (June 14)
LEWISTON - A breakfast meeting to provide an update about the U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow project will be held Tuesday (June 14), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The meeting will be at the Mark IV Restaurant, 414 N. Main St. in Moscow from 7 to 8 a.m. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at this time and location.
At Tuesdays breakfast meeting, project staff will discuss the latest developments on the project and answer questions. Juanita Lichthardt , the scheduled speaker, is the lead botanist for the project. She is a research ecologist with the Conservation Data Center specializing in rare plant surveys, rare plant and plant community monitoring, and conservation planning.
For this project, Lichthardt has made a list of plant species of conservation concern that occur near the project area or have high potential to occur there.
Coffee will be provided at the breakfast meeting. Attendees are encouraged to
order breakfast at their own expense.
The information kiosk, currently
located at the Eastside Marketplace, will be moving to the Palouse Mall, 1850 W.
Pullman Road, Moscow on June 14. Staffing days and times are also changing. The
kiosk will be staffed two days a week: Mondays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturdays
from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The kiosk is updated regularly and contains project information including newsletters, brochures and notices of upcoming events.
The U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow Project, led by the transportation
department, will determine, design and construct an alignment for nearly 6.5
miles of U.S. 95 in Latah County. This portion of the project will result in an
Environmental Impact Statement, which identifies the preferred
alignment.
