Reminder: Improvements to Nampa's Garrity on-ramps begin next week
BOISE—Operational and safety improvements to the eastbound and westbound Garrity on-ramps (milepost 38) in Nampa will begin the week of April 18. Construction will include adding another lane to each ramp, installing signal poles and re-striping.
Work will occur during daytime and nighttime hours. Both ramps will remain open during construction, but lane reductions may be in place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The project is scheduled to wrap up in late May.
Knife River is the contractor. The project cost is $580,000.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention in the construction zone.
The Idaho Transportation Board voted in May 2015 to move a group of 27 projects forward using funds allocated by the Idaho Legislature in the state’s first transportation-revenue increase in nearly two decades. This improvement is part of that initial group of 27 projects.
