Annual Idaho Byways Advisory Committee meeting set for May 5 in Moscow
BOISE -- Idaho Byways, Idaho Transportation Department
updates and the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway extension will lead discussion when
the Idaho Byways Advisory Council (IBAC) meets Thursday, May 5.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held from 1
p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Centennial Room at the Best Western University Inn, 1516
Pullman Rd., in Moscow.
Advisory council members will also hear from local
committees about projects and events, elect officers, and participate in an
IBAC discussion regarding the viability of unmanaged byways, social media,
marketing and maintenance.
The IBAC was
created to advise the transportation department on issues related to the Idaho
Byways Program.
The council works to feature and sustain
Idaho's heritage through the preservation, protection, and enhancement of the
state's scenic, cultural, historic, archeological, recreational, or natural
qualities to promote and enhance tourism on designated Idaho highways, roads
and trails and to promote and enhance other economic opportunities in
coordination with key stakeholders throughout the state of Idaho.
It is composed of
federal and state agencies and other byway stakeholders with a direct interest
in the byway program.
