Seal coat operations begin in Elmore County in May
BOISE—Pavement preservation work will begin May 16 on Idaho 51 in Elmore County.
Crews will place a seal coat on the highway, from milepost 77 (Snake River Bridge) to milepost 90 (junction of Idaho 67 in Mountain Home), during daytime hours. The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph in the work zone and pilot cars will guide motorists through the area.
During the operation, drivers should expect brief delays. Work will be completed in late May.
Knife River is the general contractor. The contract amount is $560,000.
