The east end of Cesar Chavez Lane near Broadway Bridge will be closed starting Wednesday
BOISE – A segment of Cesar Chavez Lane will be closed to motorists that want to access Broadway Avenue beginning tomorrow (May 11). The east end of Cesar Chavez Lane will be closed through late summer as part of the Broadway Bridge Replacement Project.
The closure will allow crews to create a larger work zone for upcoming construction activities and keep the project on schedule.

The Broadway Bridge is being rebuilt because the existing structure is approximately 60 years old and does not meet today’s standards. The project also includes making roadway improvements to Broadway Avenue from University Drive to Front Street and enhancing connectivity to the Greenbelt.
Knife River Corp. is the contractor. Construction is expected to be complete later this year.
