Summer roadwork begins June 1 at intersection of Karcher Road (Idaho 55) and Indiana Avenue
CALDWELL – The Idaho Transportation Department will rebuild the intersection of Karcher Road (Idaho 55) and Indiana Avenue from June through August. Improvements include widening the intersection, installing a new signal and making other roadway improvements. Construction will begin next Wednesday, June 1. Through late this summer at the Karcher/Indiana intersection, drivers can expect:
• One lane will be open in each direction on Karcher Road during the day (6 a.m. to 10 p.m.). Some overnight work will be necessary.
• Left turns from Karcher Road onto Indiana Avenue will not be permitted.
• The work-zone speed limit will be 45 mph on Karcher Road and 30 mph on Indiana Avenue.
ITD asks motorists to please slow down and pay attention in the construction zone. Motorists may encounter minor delays during construction; plan extra time for trips and if possible, find an alternate route.
