Resurfacing section of Idaho 3 begins May 31 in northern Idaho
BOISE - A project to resurface a six-mile stretch of Idaho 3 from the Coeur d’Alene River Bridge to the Interstate 90 overpass will begin Tuesday (May 31). Workers will replace cross culverts running under the road and highway soft spots to extend the life of the roadway.
The project also replaces signing and guardrail.
Work will begin in the southbound lane at the interstate junction and proceed southbound to the bridge. Traffic will be restricted to one lane through the work zone, with flaggers on hand to guide motorists. Initially, the crew will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
The contractor for this $1.6 million project is Interstate Asphalt, of Spokane, Washington.
