U.S. 93 resurfacing project to begin Wednesday
SHOSHONE - Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution on a 5-mile portion of U.S. 93 north of Interstate 84 that is being resurfaced starting Wednesday, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Flaggers and pilot cars will direct drivers through the work zone, which is from milepost 53 to milepost 58.
Construction will be suspended from 6 to 8 a.m. and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. to help traffic move as quickly as possible. Crews are also working 7 days a week.

The speed limit will be reduced to 45 miles per hour in some areas, and motorists should expect delays between 10 and 15 minutes. The resurfacing is scheduled to be finished by Sept. 15. The new surface will create smoother driving conditions and better traction. The project contractor is Idaho Sand & Gravel of Jerome.
