Culvert work and paving project on U.S. 95 at Benewah/Kootenai county line begins June 27
COEUR d'ALENE - A project to repair culverts and pave a four-mile stretch of U.S. 95, from the Benewah County Line traveling north into Kootenai County and the city of Worley, is expected to begin Monday (June 27) and continue through late September.

During culvert installation work, U.S. 95 will have short single-lane closures, regulated by flaggers. During milling and paving, long single-lane closures will be regulated by flaggers and pilot cars. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph for the length of the project (milepost 397.7 to 401.5), and drivers may expect minor delays of 15 minutes or less.

Interstate Concrete & Asphalt Co., of Rathdrum, Idaho, is the prime contractor on this $2.1 million project.
