CORRECTION: Karcher Connector Road opens Tuesday; major milestone for new Karcher Interchange Project
BOISE - A route connecting Karcher Road to a new Nampa shopping complex opened Tuesday, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.  The milestone is part of the $30 million Karcher Interchange project.

The Karcher Connector, which ties Karcher Road to the new Marketplace Boulevard, opened to traffic in conjunction with the grand opening of the Costco in Nampa. The road will serve approximately 20 retail businesses in the Treasure Valley Marketplace.  The connector, just east of Interstate 84, is a two-lane route that will link Karcher Road with the new Karcher Interchange at a junction with Midland Boulevard.

The new Karcher Interchange is scheduled to open late this year.  It will provide new access to I-84 and Idaho 55, improving traffic flow in this growing area of Canyon County.

Central Paving Co. of Boise is the contractor on the project.
