Closure on I-84 at Garrity tonight (July 5); restrictions at several Treasure Valley bridges this week
BOISE – The Idaho Transportation Department has begun to improve multiple bridges in Ada and Canyon counties. This week, crews will be working at five bridges.
Tonight (July 5), at the I-84 Garrity Blvd. Interchange:
* Eastbound and westbound traffic from Interstate 84 will be detoured at Garrity Boulevard between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
* Traffic from I-84 will be detoured to the on- and off-ramps.
Below is an overview of additional traffic impacts for the week (July 5-10). Work will occur only at night, generally between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
At the I-84 Vista Interchange:
* The I-84 on- and off-ramps will be intermittently closed at night. Motorists will be detoured to the Broadway and Orchard interchanges. Detour signage will be in place to guide drivers
* The interchange signal will be turned off overnight, and flaggers will direct traffic.
* Lanes will be restricted at night on the bridge over I-84 (one lane in each direction).
At the I-84 Orchard Interchange:
* Lanes will be restricted at night on the bridge over I-84 (one lane in each direction).
* The interchange signal will be turned off overnight, and flaggers will direct traffic.
At the Glenwood Bridge and Dry Creek Bridge (on Idaho 44):
* Lanes will be restricted at night at both bridges (one lane in each direction).
* Flaggers will direct traffic in the work zones.
