Indiana Avenue will be closed south of Karcher Road (Idaho 55) through late July
BOISE– The Idaho Transportation Department will make changes to the road closure on Indiana Avenue at Karcher Road beginning Monday morning (July 11).
Indiana Avenue has been closed at Karcher Road since early June so crews can construct improvements to the intersection.
Starting Monday (July 11) morning, Indiana Avenue, north of Karcher Road, will reopen. That same day, crews will close Indiana Avenue on the south side of Karcher Road. The closure will remain in place 24/7 through the end of July.
The closure on Indiana Avenue will extend from Karcher Road to just south of the bridge over the Deer Flat Canal. Traffic will be detoured to Orchard Avenue using Florida Avenue and Montana Avenue. Click here for a map of the detour route.
ITD reminds drivers the speed limit is reduced in the work zone at the Karcher/Indiana intersection.
Construction began earlier this year to improve the intersection of Karcher Road and Indiana Avenue. The intersection is being widened, and a new signal will be installed. Work is expected to be complete late this summer.
