Double seal coat starts Monday (July 18) for portion of Idaho 14
LEWISTON - A double seal coat will be applied to a section of Idaho 14 beginning Monday (July 18). The work will preserve the roadway surface and provide greater traction for motorists. It will also extend the lifespan of the roadway.
Weather permitting, crews plan to work throughout the week, including the weekend, in order to finish by July 25.
The work is planned from Meadow Creek at milepost 17 to the beginning of construction for Silver Leggett Creek culvert at milepost 35.8.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane, with an advisory speed limit of 35 mph. Pilot cars will be used to guide traffic.
Knife River Corporation Northwest, Boise, is the contractor on this $1 million project.
