Turn lanes under construction on Idaho 33
RIGBY - Motorists between Victor and Driggs on Idaho 33 should expect some travel delays for work at the Fox Creek Road intersection at 500 South, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Starting today (Aug. 24) ITD maintenance personnel will construct turn lanes designed to improve safety at the busy intersection. Center turn lanes will provide better opportunities for drivers making left turns off the highway.

"We will try and keep traffic moving at all times, but there could be short delays while equipment is backing onto the road," said Karen Hiatt, assistant district engineer in charge of maintenance.

The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph through the work zone.

Work is expected to take about two weeks.

This is the first of several intersection improvement projects along Idaho 33 planned over the next few years in Teton County.
