Indiana Avenue will be closed south of Karcher Road (Idaho 55) through mid-August
BOISE– The Idaho Transportation Department will make changes to the road closure on Indiana Avenue at Karcher Road in Caldwell this weekend. Indiana Avenue has been closed at Karcher Road so crews can construct improvements to the intersection.
Indiana Avenue, north of Karcher Road, will reopen on Saturday night (July 16). Overnight, crews will close a section of Indiana Avenue just south of the intersection. The closure on Indiana Avenue will extend from Karcher Road to just south of the bridge over the Deer Flat Canal.
The closure will remain in place 24/7 for several weeks. Traffic will be detoured to Orchard Avenue using Florida Avenue and Montana Avenue. Click here for a map of the detour route.
Beginning Saturday (July 16) at 10 p.m., Karcher Road will be reduced to one lane alternating with flaggers. Karcher Road will return to one lane in each direction by Sunday morning (July 17).
ITD reminds drivers the speed limit is reduced in the work zone at the Karcher/Indiana intersection.
