Seal coat will be applied to Idaho 8 from Troy to Deary starting Tuesday
LEWISTON - Crews will begin work Tuesday (Aug. 2) on a seal coat from the junction with Idaho 99 at Troy to Washington Street in Deary. The seal coat will help preserve and extend the lifespan of the roadway, and will provide greater traction for drivers.

The work will take place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday (Aug. 6).

In this 11.25-mile section (milepost 14.6 to 25.85), drivers should watch for loose gravel on the roadway and expect delays of up to 15 minutes, and expect the highway to be reduced to one lane, with pilot cars and reduced speeds.

Motorists, especially motorcycles, are encouraged to exercise caution when traveling through the area as there is loose gravel and the potential for flying rock.

Knife River Corp. Northwest, of Boise, is the contractor.
