Closure on I-84 at Garrity tonight and Wednesday night; restrictions at several Treasure Valley bridges this week

BOISE – The Idaho Transportation Department is continuing maintenance on multiple bridges in Ada and Canyon counties. This work will extend the lifespan of each bridge.

This week (Aug. 2-5), crews will be working at five bridges. Work will occur only at night, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
 
Garrity Interchange:
• Interstate 84 will be closed tonight (Tuesday, Aug. 2) and Wednesday night (Aug. 3) to seal the concrete on each side of the bridge. One side of I-84 will be closed at a time.
• Motorists will be detoured at Garrity Blvd. to the on-and off-ramps.

Black Cat and Robinson Overpasses:
• Lanes will be restricted tonight (Aug. 2) through Thursday night (Aug. 4) for paving and striping.
• Each bridge will be reduced to one lane and flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions.

Glenwood Bridge:
• Lanes will be restricted Wednesday (Aug. 3) and Thursday (Aug. 4) to seal the concrete bridge deck.
• One lane in each direction will be open.

I-84 Vista Interchange:
• Lanes will be restricted Thursday night (Aug. 4) and Friday night (Aug. 5) while crews seal the concrete and stripe the bridge.
• One lane in each direction will be open.
• Drivers are advised to pay close attention to detour signs.
• Several ramp closures are anticipated, and expected to vary.
