Flagging operations on Idaho 55 at Banks Sunday to assist with expected increased traffic due to wildfire
BOISE--Due to firefighting efforts near Idaho City, a section of Idaho 21 will remain closed until further notice between Rabbit Creek Road and Banks-Lowman Road.
On Sunday (Aug. 7), starting at noon, ITD will be flagging the intersection of Idaho 55 and Banks-Lowman Road at Banks to assist motorists with additional traffic expected due to the closure of Idaho 21. This operation will continue through the afternoon hours.
The Idaho Transportation Department and the U.S. Forest Service closed the highway on July 26 to ensure the safety of the traveling public and fire crews working in the area.
