Lane restrictions and flagging at the intersection of Karcher Road (Idaho 55) and Indiana Avenue through next week
BOISE – From Sunday through the following week (Aug. 7-14), the Karcher/Indiana intersection will be reduced to one alternating lane from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will mill and pave the roadway, stripe the intersection, remove guardrail and work on the new traffic signal.
Flaggers will direct traffic each night when lane restrictions are in place.
Construction is expected to be complete in mid-to-late August. Adding a signal and rebuilding the Karcher/Indiana intersection is part of safety improvements the Idaho Transportation Department is making to the Idaho 55 corridor in Canyon County through 2017.
ITD asks motorists to slow down and pay attention in the construction zone. Plan extra time for travel as drivers may encounter minor delays during this work.
