MEDIA ADVISORY: Dedication of Boise's new Broadway Bridge on Friday morning
Attention Producers/Reporters
Please join the Idaho Transportation Department as we officially dedicate the new Broadway Bridge on Friday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m.
After a brief ceremony, officials will pull barriers on the bridge and open it up immediately to traffic. The public is encouraged to attend and be among the first to cross it on bike or foot. Public parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis at Julia Davis Park.
WHAT: Broadway Bridge Dedication
WHO: ITD Director Brian Ness, Boise Mayor David Bieter, Boise State University President Dr. Robert Kustra, other officials and business stakeholders
WHEN: Friday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: On the bridge near the southwest corner (media can park in the adjacent Boise State parking lot near the church)
Video footage of the event will also be provided to news editors later that afternoon through a release that ITD will send out.
