Expect delays on Idaho 52 in Gem County overnight Oct. 16 for pavement work
BOISE—A section of Idaho 52 under construction in Gem County will experience road closures up to one hour during the overnight hours Sunday, Oct. 16.
Those delays will occur between 9 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday so crews can safely work in a very narrow area where pavement needs to be cut and removed. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and consider an alternate route during that time.
The Idaho Transportation Department is adding retaining walls and upgrading guardrail on both sides of the highway west of the Black Canyon Dam to near the end of the reservoir. Some repaving work is also
necessary where guardrail is being replaced.
The project will wrap up in mid-October.
