Teton County driver’s license office temporarily closed while issues with new software are resolved
DRIGGS - The Teton County office, at 230 N. Main St., Suite #160, in Driggs, is temporarily closed as a result of converting to new software for driver’s licenses, identification (ID) cards, and various permits.
The Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles is implementing the new software system and trying to resolve problems believed to be caused by bandwidth restrictions at the offices.
“Our main priority is getting the office up and running again,” said Alan Frew, Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Administrator. “The software developer is working closely with us to develop a solution as quickly as possible.”
DMV understands the office closure is a major inconvenience to customers and is asking for continued patience as the issue is resolved.
DMV began converting to the new software in mid-October and announced potential slowdowns at all county offices. Customers have been asked to wait a few weeks to renew licenses, ID cards, and permits, unless they are expiring soon.
