Trees to be removed from Idaho 41 near road north of Spirit Lake to improve driver safety, visibility
COEUR d'ALENE - Work began today (Monday, Nov. 21) and continues through Dec. 2 to improve the safety for drivers and increase visibility and clear line-of-sight by removing trees in a one-mile section of Idaho 41 nearest the highway right of way.
The work is just north of Spirit Lake in Bonner County.
The work will primarily occur on the southbound side of the road, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
ITD is partnering with the Department of Lands and Newport Equipment Enterprises on the project.
