Public transportation group to hold open meeting December 19
The public is invited to join a regularly scheduled meeting to discuss transportation amongst state agencies in Idaho on December 19. The meeting is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at ITD Headquarters, 3311 W State St. in Boise.
The Idaho Transportation Department's Interagency Working Group (IWG) is holding the public meeting which will focus on two main topics: the statewide public transportation plan and transporting those with mental-health disabilities.
The Statewide Public Transportation Plan outlines the funding available to public transportation outlets throughout the state. The mental-health agenda item reflects a new effort from the IWG to address the transportation needs of citizens with mental health disabilities and how best to serve this gap population.
The IWG will also submit an annual report on transportation programs and data from each representated agency.
