Work to replace old culverts under Idaho 3 north of St. Maries set to begin Jan. 3
COEUR d’ALENE - Excavation work is set to start Jan. 3 on work to replace a pair of failing culverts under Idaho 3 about 20 miles north of St. Maries in Kootenai County. This work, to enhance safety for drivers, will continue for about one week.
Traffic control near the work (at milepost 103.5 and 103.1) will be provided by the contractor, and guided by flaggers if necessary. Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, with short-term lane closures only if needed to facilitate moving of equipment.
Accelerated Construction & Excavating, of Plummer, Idaho, is the prime contractor on this $97,000 project.
