Drivers urged to watch for wildlife migrating along roadways in southwest Idaho
BOISE - Motorists are advised to watch for elk and deer that are migrating near state highways in search of food.
Heavy snow in higher elevations has contributed to movement of wildlife in southwest Idaho along several roadways across the region.
ITD reminds motorists to pay close attention to deer or elk near the side of a highway, as there may be several more in the immediate area. Using headlights and driving cautiously are highly encouraged in an effort to avoid potential wildlife vehicle collisions. Remember to always wear your seat belt.
ITD reminds all drivers to buckle up, pay attention and check 511.idaho.gov for the latest road conditions.
