Culvert failure on section of Idaho 7 south of Orofino causes closure for replacement, check 511 for updates
LEWISTON - A graveled section of Idaho 7 about 10 miles south of Orofino, between U.S. 12 to the north and the Lewis County Line to the south, closed this morning (Wednesday, Feb. 22) due to culvert failure from excessive spring runoff. The duration of the closure is unknown at this time, pending replacement.
The Idaho Transportation Department will use electronic message signs to alert travelers in the area to the closure. Motorists are encouraged to check the Idaho Traveler Services website at 511.idaho.gov for updates on the reopening.
