Sections of Interstate 84 in Mountain Home area will be closed to examine pavement
MOUNTAIN HOME - Short sections of Interstate 84 will be closed from Sept. 18 through Sept. 20 to examine the highway, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Sections of the eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed between milepost 90 and milepost 101 during daytime hours to allow the transportation department and Federal Highway Administration consultants to perform crack monitoring on concrete pavement test sections in the area. Milepost 90 is the western exit from Mountain Home. Milepost 101 is at the eastern end of Mountain Home.
The right and left lanes of the eastbound and westbound sections will be closed to be examined, although those lanes will not be closed in the same section of highway. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be able to continue through the area. Signs posted will direct traffic.
