U.S. 20/26 resurfacing will begin Sunday night between Caldwell and Meridian

BOISE – Construction will begin Sunday, April 30 on a summer-long project to resurface U.S. 20/26 between Borchers Lane in Caldwell and Locust Grove Road in Meridian. Nighttime lane restrictions will be in place during this project.

This maintenance work is intended to preserve the road and avoid costly repairs in the future.

Crews will work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the week (Sunday through Thursday) and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. During these hours, U.S. 20/26 will be reduced to a single lane and speeds will be reduced. ITD will use signals or flaggers to direct traffic. All lanes will be open during the day.

ITD also will update curb ramps at intersection corners to meet current requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

A similar resurfacing project is scheduled for Idaho 44 between Caldwell and Star.

Please slow down, pay attention and give yourself enough time, as many projects will be under construction across the region this summer.
