Weekend I-84 paving and lane restrictions in Canyon County CANCELED due to inclement weather
BOISE – The Idaho Transportation Department has canceled this weekend’s planned Interstate 84 restrictions in Canyon County due to predictions of inclement weather. Paving is scheduled to resume the weekend of June 16-19.
The lane reductions were part of ITD’s work to repave I-84 between Nampa and Caldwell. ITD scheduled the majority of construction during four weekends in June to keep I-84 open during the weekday commute.
Construction on this section of I-84 was accelerated after harsh winter weather caused the pavement to deteriorate more quickly than anticipated. The project will prolong the pavement life until additional capacity can be added to I-84.
